The sound recordings on this website contain musical works, in which the copyright is controlled by The Music People Ltd. A synchronization licence is required for any use of these recordings. Synchronization rights must be obtained for any music used in timed relationship with a film, videotape, slide presentation or similar use. Sync rights are also required for prerecorded audio uses, such as cassettes, compact discs or similar formats plus audio productions and commercials for radio or similar media. Sync rights must be obtained for all internal, non-theatrical, home or educational use or for public performance, broadcast or electronic carriers (internet, broadband, cell phones and similar devices). Failure to obtain such licence constitutes an infringement of copyright. Failure to supply cue sheets and obtain synchronization licences is a breach of this agreement. We reserve the right to charge rates higher than those quoted in our schedule when unauthorized dubbing or re-recording of our music takes place. We also reserve the right to change prices without notice. Any revisions in the form of visual, narration or script changes, different language versions or new versions of a production utilizing our music constitute different productions and require additional clearances. All rates listed apply to non-exclusive use only. We are unable to grant exclusivity for any of our music recordings. Whilst we are able to grant World clearance rights, these rights are subject to the rules and regulations of other countries, whose copyright laws may require additional payments for royalties on importation into those countries. Upon our receipt of your completed Music Cue Sheet, we will send you an invoice for music rights. Your Synchronization Licence will be sent to you when full payment is received by us. A copy of this licence should accompany every copy or print of your production and the original should be retained by the producer and not by the accounts department. The rights described above are separate and distinct from the rights licensed by SOCAN to radio and television stations and subject to separate licences from The Music People Ltd. The appropriate performing rights society (SOCAN) must receive full details of music used in your productions or those of your clients to whom you have supplied music, in cases where the said productions are scheduled for broadcast or theatrical performance. It is necessary for full details of music used in productions for broadcast or theatrical use to be sent to SOCAN, in order that composers and publishers may receive their share of performance royalties or "residuals" from the annual fees paid to these societies by broadcasting stations and theatres.
